Being a Christian in today's world is very hard. But do not let that scare you, anything worthwhile is worth working for. Being a Christian can be hard but it can also be fun. That is my objective, through my own stories, stories of my friends and a lot of plagiarism (Just kidding, only a little plagiarism.), I am going to show that you can be a Christian and still have fun!

  Read your Bible.

I saw a guy reading his Bible today. "That is wonderful," you might say. And it might have been, except we were both doing 65 MPH down the interstate! (Yes Jimmy, I was doing the speed limit.) Now tell me, am I wrong, isn't there a time and place to read your Bible? I mean you could be reading about Heaven, hit a bridge and be in Heaven all at the same time. Really, if you have to read your Bible while you are driving, are you THAT busy or should you consider taking a time management class? Don't get me wrong, we should all read our Bibles, but while we are driving? What do you think, does doing something good, like reading your Bible, out weigh the doing something wrong, like reading your Bible while driving?
Just wondering,
Joe B

Read your Bible.

I completely agree. Driving down the road, unless it is a deserted country road with no traffic and you're going 5 miles an hour, is NOT the place to be reading anything. I think God would rather you talk to Him and keep your eyes on the road, thereby saving yourself and others from possible death, than reading His word while driving and possibly sending someone who wasn't a Christian to hell b/c you slammed into their vehicle at 65 miles per hour. Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. LOL!

I have a blog friend who reads while in traffic, but not going 65 mph! I think that is endangering others...what if he sends someone to Heaven that wasnt' ready to be there yet?

Whether it's the Bible or the Karma Sutra, 5mph or 100mph, no one should be reading anything while driving.

I hope someone bought that guy a copy of the Bible on CD or tape to play in his car for Christmas.

lol I agree...That guy is in serious need of the audio bible ..Wonder if it was a preacher late for a sermon or someone not prepared for bible study ..lol That is crazy though ..I think while driving is NOT the place to read the bible ..I am thinking time management classes are an order ..lol

Joe, just to clarify, the "you" in my post isn't actually you that I'm talking about. It's the generic obliviot drivers out there. LOL.

wow, either this guy is really dedicated or really in desperate need of some major time management help!

it's great he was reading his bible, but if you were God and someone was trying to show you love and devotion wouldn't you want time made and set apart for you alone, not just tossed in and shared all around? just a penny worth's thought...

All blogs are read.
The Watchers read them.

They read silently,
But they read with wisdom,
Knowing that all will be well.

Blogs are the positive effectors
Of an influential new
Planetary nervous system.

It is important, therefore,
That all blogs are read
And none is missed.

Not one is missed;
Not one word.

Each is read
With careful attention
And complete understanding.

There are people
Whose job it is to do this.
And they do it.

Pay close attention
To your dreams, therefore,
And stay free.

All will be well.

"you could be reading about Heaven, hit a bridge and be in Heaven all at the same time."

Is that an argument in favor of reading while driving or against it?

Oh, Joe, you made me laugh. :)

I agree. We should not be reading our Bibles while driving. But ... I can still put mascara on while driving, right?
